Medway CCG are undertaking a number of service improvement projects led by their Long-Term Conditions Programme Board. Specifically, for diabetes they are implementing an integrated service approach in a phased roll-out.

The CCG have asked for support and advice from Diabetes UK in setting up an ongoing service user reference group to influence the work of the Long-Term Conditions Programme Board, which is leading the CCG’s improvement work on diabetes services. This will provide a sustainable mechanism to enable local people living with diabetes to feed into the CCG’s decision-making. To kick this off we will be running two engagement events to gather feedback on the CCG’s particular priorities of early diagnosis and improved self-management.
