Steering group members needed for patient experience audit
Later this year, the NDA will be piloting a new audit, which will gather feedback on patients' experiences of diabetes care. The audit will use an online survey to collect information from people with diabetes about their care. It will be tested in approximately 20 CCG or LHB areas, in both primary and secondary care.
We are currently establishing a steering group to input to project planning and advise on project implementation. We would very much like input from key stakeholders, to ensure that the project is 'fit for purpose' and is supported by both the healthcare community and people with diabetes. We are looking for healthcare professionals in the following roles, representing a good geographical spread:
- Practice nurse
- Diabetes specialist nurse (primary care)
- Practice manager
- Diabetes clinic/centre manager
- Diabetologist and/or diabetes specialist nurse (secondary care)
- Patient and public engagement lead – CCG/LHB
The first meeting of this group is planned for August/September 2013. If you are interested in becoming a member of the steering group, please Claire Hanrahan at claire.hanrahan@diabetes.org.uk.
