In October 2008 we published ‘Getting to Grips with the Year of Care: A Practical Guide’.
This was launched at an event in Westminster attended by over 220 commissioners, healthcare professionals, people with diabetes and policy makers. Speakers included David Colin-Thomé, National Clinical Director for Primary Care, Rowan Hillson, National Clinical Director for Diabetes and Douglas Smallwood, Chief Executive of Diabetes UK.
During the course of the Year of Care programme, a number of resources have been developed by the central team and the individual pilot sites.
Some of these resources have been published on the National Diabetes Support Team’s website as examples of enthusiastic practice.
