Pregnancy and diabetes: exploring the perspective of women living with diabetes.
There is evidence from sociology research that the continuum between planned and unplanned pregnancy is much more complex than has been realised. This study will plan to interview women in early pregnancy to understand more about their decisions about becoming pregnant, and whether they have received and understood pre-conception counselling. This will inform the provision of information and services to women living with diabetes and the design of a survey to quantify these issues.
