Brain glucokinase, glucose sensing and hypoglycaemia: A combined molecular and physiological examination
Hypoglycaemia is detected in specialised glucose-sensing areas of the brain. This study will investigate whether a key sensing protein called glucokinase plays an important role in brain-sensing of hypoglycaemia and whether this might allow the recognition of hypoglycaemia to be improved.
