Project Summary

Professor Bates’ student will investigate if a naturally occurring variant of a drug currently used to improve vision in patients with diabetic retinopathy will protect eyes from diabetes-related damage without the associated blood and nerve vessel damage and with a less invasive administrative regime than the currently used drug.
