Research Strategy

The Diabetes UK Research Strategy has been developed in consultation with people with diabetes and their carers, healthcare professionals, researchers and other interested parties.

It sets out the broad focus for Diabetes UK's research for the five-year period from January 2006 to December 2010.

However, the world of science and healthcare is continually evolving. Diabetes UK must remain flexible and in a position to anticipate, identify and respond to the needs of people with diabetes with a view to commissioning research that has potential to make a real difference to their lives.

To do this effectively, it is essential that we remain engaged with all our stakeholders over the research agenda.

Diabetes UK therefore actively encourages and welcomes your comments and suggestions for future research topics at any time.

Please send your comments, views and ideas for research that you believe would make a difference to the lives of people with diabetes to researchstrategy@diabetes.org.uk. Or send in a hard copy (marked 'Research topics') to The Research Department, Macleod House, 10 Parkway, London NW1 7AA.
