Please get involved in campaigning for retinal screening in your area, as part of the Diabetes UK Your Vision campaign.
With your support, we can help ensure that ALL people with diabetes receive an annual eye screening test using a digital camera (retinal screening). By campaigning on this issue you would be helping to save people’s eyesight.
The latest Department of Health figures show that the average number of people with diabetes who have received retinal screening in England is 61.3%.
This means that many people with diabetes are not receiving the annual diabetic retinopathy screening that could save their sight, and some Primary Care Trusts are still failing people with diabetes.
