Volunteers and local/community groups are a vital part of Diabetes UK. Every year, across the UK, thousands of people give their time to help provide care, support and raise awareness of diabetes.
Our Inspire Awards recognise the invaluable contribution of the volunteers and groups that go above and beyond for people with diabetes.
Nominations are now closed
Panels across the UK will judge the nominations and we will be announcing the winners in each region/nation in due course.
How do the awards work?
Regional / national Inspire Awards
Volunteers and local/community groups can be nominated for a range of awards in each region and nation across the UK. The awards will be presented to the winners in their region / nation.
UK Inspire Awards
All regional and national winners (finalists) will then be placed in a pool to be judged for the UK Inspire Awards. All UK finalists will be invited to attend the UK Inspire Award event on 5 July 2017 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.
The awards are for the work that volunteers and groups have done in 2016. Nominations are now closed.
Our local and community groups contribute in diverse ways, across diverse communities and their work runs through everything we do. We would like to raise the profile of our groups and recognise them for this breadth of work. This year, rather than having a single group award, groups will be eligible for four awards to recognise and celebrate their achievements across a wide variety of different areas.
