A healthy version of this tasty dip, great served with crudites, breadsticks or pitta bread.

1 x 400g tin chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 clove garlic
juice 1 lemon
1 tsp cayenne pepper
4 tbsp natural yogurt
freshly ground black pepper
To serve:
warmed pitta, cut into chunks
Method
  1. Place all the hummus ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until almost smooth and well combined.
  2. Spoon into a serving bowl and serve with the warmed pitta.
Chefs tips
  • To add extra flavour, add 1 tsp of tahini, or 1 tsp smoked paprika or cumin. To give it more zing, add the grated zest of lemon.
  • Freezing instructions:¬†Freeze in portions then defrost in the fridge, or microwave, taking care to stir regularly.
