The Key, 13 Dunluce Street in Larne, recently opened and has been busy raising money for Diabetes UK Northern Ireland and Parkinson’s Trust charities. The charities received the first cheque presentation from The Key with a donation of £1,125 from efforts since the shop opened in July 2017.

Diabetes UK Northern Ireland National Fundraiser, Naomi Breen said: “All the team at The Key in Larne have worked so hard to not only raise awareness about both diabetes and Parkinson’s disease, but have also kindly donated money they have raised from the shop.

“We are delighted to receive this very kind donation and will ensure it helps support the local diabetes community. Unfortunately there are more and more people being impacted by diabetes, with over 100,000 people now living with this serious condition in Northern Ireland.

”This will be an ongoing partnership with The Key in Larne and we are looking forward to continuing to work with, support and help people living with diabetes in the Larne area. Our work will be helped significantly by the kindness of people in Larne donating via The Key and will look forward to the next announcement in Spring 2018."
