We are here to support you with your fundraising and help you make the most of it – see further down for the latest stories in the region.

In the South East alone, it is estimated that over 500.000 people live with diabetes.

Our vision is a world where diabetes can do no harm.

We couldn’t do the work we do without supporters and we would love to hear from you, whether you are fundraising on your own, at school, work or your local club, order a Fundraising Pack and start your fundraising journey with us today.

Your fundraising stories in the South East

Neil Hunter kneels next to the pole, which has a spherical, mirrored top. international flags are placed in the show behind him

Neil reached the South Pole on Thursday 15th January 2020, two days before the 108th anniversary of the legendary Captain Scott arriving there. It took him 51 days braving the most extreme conditions to complete his polar expedition with no rest days. A former Royal Navy engineer, Neil was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2005 when he was 33.

This isn’t Neil first adventure. His numerous expeditions around the world include scaling the peak of Denali in North America, skiing across the Greenland icecap and rowing the Atlantic with friend, Scott – in total, he’s raised over £20,000 for the charity.

You can read Neil's blog about his experience at
