Our Warminster Local Support Group, pictured below, held their Diabetes Technology and Health Management event at The Avenue Surgery on Saturday 16 September.
56 attendees had the opportunity to chat and ask questions with local experts in their field. Lesley Jordon, Chief Executive of the charity Input, was on hand to explain about the recent NHS announcement that Flash monitors will be funded for certain patients from 1 November.
Jo Sims, an NHS Diabetes Dietitian, kindly gave her free time to deliver two presentations on healthy eating and weight management. Each informative presentation ended with lively Q & As.
Beverley Salter, a Wiltshire Health Trainer, had an impressively eye-catching display of healthy eating resources and she explained the available advice and motivational sessions covering lifestyle and diet. She was pleased to sign up 5 new clients for this excellent free service.
