We’re excited to announce two new Diabetes UK local support groups starting in Ceredigion in January.
The new Aberystwyth and Lampeter groups will meet once a month and offer people with diabetes the opportunity to share experiences, learn more about managing their condition and make new friends.
Diabetes UK already has a local support group in Cardigan.
Friendly support
Life with diabetes can be complicated, and we know that meeting other people who understand the day-to-day challenges that it can involve can be a great help.
Our local support group meetings are friendly and informal and often welcome guest speakers on useful topics such as diet and exercise.
They also organise fundraising, awareness-raising events, social activities and campaign to improve diabetes services in the area.
First meeting dates
The Aberystwyth group will meet on the first Thursday of every month, starting on Thursday, 4 January. The first meeting will take place at 2pm in Tesco Aberystwyth’s Community Room.
The Lampeter meetings will take place on the third Wednesday of every month, from Wednesday, 17 January. The first meeting will be held at St Peter’s Church Hall in Lampeter at 1:30pm.
All are welcome at the meetings and there is no need to register before attending.
We hope lots of people in both towns take up this opportunity to meet and get support from others in their area.
