CSG 7: NIHR CRN: Children/BSPED diabetes and endocrinology

CSG 7 aims to improve our understanding of diabetes in children and young adults. This is a joint CSG with the British Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (BSPED) and the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN). It will consider all aspects of diabetes in children and young adults. 

Chair: Professor Timothy Barrett, University of Birmingham

Professor Barrett's research focuses on paediatrics, diabetes and genetics of childhood diabetes syndromes. 

Now recruiting Healthcare Professionals for CSGs (including pediatric dietitians and psychologists)

The membership term will be for three years in the first instance, which can be extended by an additional three years with agreement from the Management Committee and Diabetes UK. The Healthcare Professionals will undertake the position on a voluntary basis. The CSG will be provided with financial support for two face-to-face meetings and at least one teleconference per year.
