New healthy cooking video series
Eating and drinking too much over the festive season is part and parcel of Christmas and with 2013 now gone, the new year is a perfect time to make some small changes and take a healthier approach to eating.With this in mind, Diabetes UK has produced a series of four healthy cooking videos aimed at helping you make a few adjustments while cooking either at home or on the move.With some simple changes, you can reduce your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, as well as being an important part of effectively managing both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.The diet recommended for people with diabetes is the same healthy diet recommended to everyone - it should be low in fat, salt and sugar with plenty of fruit and vegetables, and alcohol should be drunk in moderation and with care.
