Diabetes UK’s Putting Feet First campaign launches tomorrow to highlight that there are now more than 135 diabetes-related amputations a week in England – 80 per cent of which could be prevented.
Join our thunderclap on social media
To launch the campaign, we are asking our Facebook and Twitter supporters to join the Diabetes UK ‘thunderclap’, which will see the same message being sent out on social media at the same time, calling on Security of State for Health Jeremy Hunt to take action.
The message, which is set to coincide with a public stunt taking place near the Houses of Parliament tomorrow, will say: ‘Over 135 diabetes amputations a week in England – 80% could be prevented. #JeremyHunt, it’s time to act #135shoes http://thndr.it/1IH8O5n’.
Visit our thunderclap pageto take part - it takes just 30 seconds and will help us to reach even more people.
