Diabetes UK scoops industry award

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) yesterday honoured Diabetes UK with one of the industry’s most coveted accolades.

The charity won the Excellence Award for best website beating five other organisations including Action for Blind People.

Attending the glittering awards ceremony at the Honourable Artillery Company Gardens in London, Amanda Neylon, Website Manager at Diabetes UK, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won such a prestigious award. To be recognised amongst our peers is testament to the creativity and innovation behind our website.

"We launched our new website in September 2006 with a new design, navigation and exciting online tools to make it even easier for people to find the information and support they need. Over 150,000 people access our site every month."

The Diabetes UK website was developed in association with Fortune Cookie.
