Hollyoaks in the Park

Carley Stenson, aka Steph Cunningham from Channel 4 soap-drama Hollyoaks, joined nearly 200 other walkers to raise funds for Diabetes UK at the St. Helens Walk in the Park.

“Carley started and led the walk, closely followed by 193 other fundraisers including a Collosal Carrot, a Portly Pineapple, a Stupendous Strawberry, a Bulky Banana and two Towering Tomatoes!" said St Helens and Knowsley Diabetes UK Group Chair, Cherry Bowmaker.

Fruity costumes

"The fruity costumes were designed to help promote the importance of including at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day in our diet.

“We hope to have raised at least £5,000 for diabetes research when all the sponsor money is in. We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who helped or participated in the walk, and, of course, to Carley for coming along."
