We have been working together with Boots since 2013 to help people across the UK and Republic of Ireland assess their risk of developing type 2 diabetes through the Know Your Risk online tool.
With 12.3 million at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, the Know Your Risk tool helps people understand their risk of developing the condition by considering seven key factors. These include factors that can’t be changed, such as age, ethnicity, and family history, and those that can be changed such as weight, waist circumference and blood pressure.
If a person has a moderate or high risk of developing type 2 diabetes, Boots signposts them to their GP or pharmacist for further support and advice on how to manage their risk of developing the condition. To date, there have been over 48,000 Know Your Risk completions through our partnership, both online on Boot’s website and in store.
