Our partnership with Britvic is making sure that children with Type 1 diabetes can get the most out of every part of school life.
For children with Type 1 diabetes and their families, dealing with a complicated health condition at school can be tough. Instead of throwing themselves into lessons, school trips and sports, children can be singled out, or left to manage their diabetes on their own. And for their parents it can be a constant worry.
Our exciting three year partnership with Britvic will help us make sure that all children with Type 1 diabetes get the care they need to thrive at school through our Make the Grade campaign.
The Make the Grade campaign brings families and schools together to make sure children get the support they need to participate in every aspect of school life. We work with them to help them achieve our Good Diabetes Care in School Award, a recognition of their efforts to improve care and equal opportunities for children with Type 1 diabetes.
We’ll also be working closely with Britvic’s employees to help them and their families understand how to reduce their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
By working together, we’ll support those living with diabetes, help colleagues reduce their risk of Type 2, and help families to live healthier and happier every day.
