We have partnered with Saladmaster to raise awareness of type 2 diabetes
There are staggeringly 13.6 million people in the UK at risk of developing type 2 diabetes. We have partnered with Saladmaster to raise awareness and understanding of type 2 diabetes and encourage people to eat better, to live better and reduce their risk of developing the condition.
During the first year of the partnership, Saladmaster supported our London Bridges Challenge event, which took place in September 2019. The flagship event saw thousands of our supporters raising funds by walking a 10-mile route that crisscrosses the Thames over 13 of the city’s iconic bridges.
On World Diabetes Day 2020, Diabetes UK partnered with the International Diabetes Federation and ITN Productions to launch a new programme called Diabetes Matters. Saladmaster were proud to support by producing a short film to be shown during the main programme.
The Diabetes Matters programme covers a huge range of topics including, the latest advancements in treatment, research and care, and how type 2 diabetes can be prevented and the impact the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has on those living with the condition.
