Diabetes UK has developed a half-day awareness session for support workers.
The training session has been designed to provide you with the knowledge and confidence you need when working with people with diabetes and create a positive impact in their lives.
The course covers topics such as:
- What is diabetes
- Diabetes complications
- Food and diabetes
- Weight management
- Exercise
- Monitoring
- Impact a diagnosis of diabetes can have.
