All welcome at London webinars

We're pleased to say that the popular webinars from the London Team will continue through summer and autumn, featuring events on a range of useful and interesting topics.

First up is ‘Love Your Feet Part 2: Footcare and Diabetes,’ with a panel of specialist podiatrists from the Central Middlesex Hospital led by Dr Wing May Kong. This webinar will take place on Thursday, 17 June, from 5.30 - 6.30pm.

On 22 July (5 - 6pm) we will host a webinar for South Asian Heritage Month on ‘How exercise can help people with diabetes,’ with personal trainer Lavinia Mehta, who was awarded an MBE for services to health and fitness during COVID-19, and the DUK Move More Live Well team. South Asian Heritage Month

In August the subject will be Food/Cooking also timed to coincide with South Asian Heritage Month with a provisional date of 12 or 13 August. More details to follow.

On World Diabetes Day - Monday, 20 September, and from 5-6pm - the topic will be ‘Diabetes and Dementia.’ Our speakers will be Jessica Rees, a researcher from UCL, and Daniel Fredriksson, a dementia support worker from the Alzheimer’s Society.

In October - date tbc - Mike Clark, head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Independent Age will facilitate a discussion on health inequality in conjunction with a Diabetes UK researcher during Black History Month.
