Diabetes UK looking for Limavady volunteers

Have you been looking for something new to do for 2018? Interested in volunteering with people who want to make a difference?

The Limavady Diabetes Support Group has been operating in the Limavady area for over 30 years, offering support to those impacted by diabetes and making a difference to people and families living with the condition in the local community.

The group is excited to announce that it has a number of exciting roles available for anyone interested in getting involved and helping the group continue to grow, helping more people who are living with diabetes.

Diabetes UK Northern Ireland Volunteer Development Manager, Heather Causer, said, ‘We have a fantastic network of support groups right across Northern Ireland and they help us raise awareness in their local community.

"The Limavady Support Group is one of our longest running groups with a wealth of experience and passion for helping local people. We have a number of exciting roles that we can offer for anyone who would be interested in helping raise awareness and funds in the Limavady area for our growing diabetes community.

‘If you can offer your help and your time to this fantastic group then we would love to hear from you. If you would like to find out more then please email NIvolunteer@diabetes.org.uk or come along to the next meeting to chat to the group. They will be holding their AGM meeting on Monday, 22 January, 7.30pm at L.C.D.I Roe Valley Hospital and everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there."
