Omagh hosts Craft Fair in time for Christmas

The Diabetes UK Omagh Support Group is holding their annual Christmas Craft Fair in aid of the charity on Saturday 8 December in the Omagh Golf Club.

Group Secretary, Lorraine Reid, said, ‘Our Christmas Craft Fair is a great way to get the community together and enjoy the 20 stalls that will be in attendance. We are delighted to have so many crafters come along and sell beautiful products, all in time for Christmas.

‘We are especially pleased that Santa will be taking a short break from his hectic schedule and visiting us from 3pm so please bring all the family along for an afternoon of festive fun.’

The Diabetes UK Omagh Support Group meets every month to help provide information and support to the local diabetes community. Group members also organise events such as this Craft Fair to help raise funds for the charity.

Diabetes UK Northern Ireland Regional Fundraiser, Naomi Breen, said, ‘The Omagh Support Group know how to host a great event and this year, the Christmas Craft Fair will be another one for the diary. Come along to buy some Christmas presents and support the local diabetes community at the same time.

‘In Northern Ireland there are over 100,000 people living with diabetes so we want to continue to help support more people learning to live with this condition.’

The Christmas Craft Fair will take place on Saturday 8 December, 1pm-5pm, at the Omagh Golf Club. Adults pay £3 and children go free, light refreshments will be available. For more information please contact fundraising@diabetes.org.uk.
