Every year Diabetes UK Northern Ireland supporter groups launch Walks for Diabetes right across the province to mobilise local communities to come together to not only get active, but to raise awareness about a condition that is touching more and more families in Northern Ireland.

Diabetes UK Northern Ireland National Fundraiser, Naomi Breen said, ‘There are now over 100,000 people living with diabetes in Northern Ireland so this is a condition that is impacting more and more of us. Diabetes UK supporter groups like Dungannon are integral to providing a support network and all the information needed to help people manage their diabetes with confidence. Meeting with other people who know about the condition can really help encourage and support you in your own journey with diabetes.’

The Dungannon Walk for Diabetes is approximately two miles long and a great opportunity to meet others in the local area. The registration fee is £10 per person and children go free. Refreshments will be provided and all donations will go towards funding diabetes-related research in Northern Ireland.
