Walk for diabetes in Fermanagh

On Saturday 2 June the Fermanagh Support Group will be hosting their Walk for Diabetes from 11am at Castle Coole National Trust in Enniskillen.

Every year Diabetes UK Northern Ireland supporter groups launch Walks for Diabetes right across the province to mobilise local communities to come together to not only get active, but to raise awareness about a condition that is touching more and more families in Northern Ireland.

Diabetes UK Northern Ireland National Fundraiser, Naomi Breen said, ‘We are excited that Fermanagh Support Group will be hosting another Walk for Diabetes in Enniskillen and hope that everyone will come along on Saturday 2 June to support this great cause. There are now over 100,000 people living with diabetes in Northern Ireland so this is a condition that is impacting more and more of us.

‘Thanks to events such as the Walks for Diabetes, we can reach more people and help them in their own journey with diabetes. Our local groups provide so much support and information for the local diabetes community so why not bring the whole family along to enjoy Castle Coole National Trust and help us raise awareness and funds for Diabetes UK Northern Ireland.’
