Head of the North
Stephen is responsible for the regional teams supporting the North West and Northern and Yorkshire regions. He coordinates the delivery of Diabetes UK’s national campaigns in the North of England, oversees the work of the teams, looks to develop partnerships within the third sector and with bodies such as universities, colleges and health service providers and speaks regularly at conferences and meetings.
Group Liaison Officer
Claire is our Group Liaison Officer for the North, who works with and supports our local groups. Working within the Volunteer Development Team, Claire is also responsible for supporting all group volunteer activity throughout the regions, ensuring that volunteers get a positive and consistent experience of working as part of Diabetes UK.

Senior Volunteer Development Lead
Michelle leads the volunteering team in the north of England. She ensures that as a team we support all of our groups and communities whilst reaching out to new volunteers. The volunteering team strive to make sure that all our groups, communities and volunteers in the north of England feel valued, supported and engaged.
Jenni supports the volunteering team in the North West and is the first point of contact for volunteers and local groups. She helps in the recruitment and ongoing support of new volunteers as well as recruiting volunteers to attend awareness events and Roadshows across the North West region.

Regional Media Officer, North of England
Carmel is our Regional Media Officer, covering both the North-West and North-East of England and Yorkshire. She is responsible for media and communications in the region and is always interested to hear what our supporters are doing.
