TheWinterCity© is an annual Christmas event Xavier holds every Christmas. It’s a Christmas model village scene with houses and a train circuit. This was passed down from his Grandfather who used to do a smaller version on his mantelpiece, until he passed away in 2010.
Visitors come to his house and they can explore a number of activities that are fun for all the family. This includes a raffle, lucky dip and memory tree.

Xavier Glineur from Hove, East Sussex said “I love doing TheWinterCity© because I love seeing smiles on people’s faces and I know all my hard work goes to a very good cause.”

Smiles

TheWinterCity© started when Xavier was 8-years-old and it’s now in its sixth year. It puts smiles on peoples faces both young and old. In 2017 Xavier chose Diabetes UK as he has a friend and two family members who have diabetes and he would like to help find a cure.

Stephen Sooksalee, Fundraising Coordinator has said “We would like to thank Xavier for choosing Diabetes UK this year and raising this fantastic amount. Without support like this we would not be able to continue our activities in helping those living with diabetes.”
