Bournemouth and Poole based charity Pop 4 Diabetes have announced details of their annual ball, with funds raised being donated to Diabetes UK.
The ball will be taking place on 14 October 2017 at the Village Hotel in Bournemouth with a ’James Bond the movies’ theme, guest celebrities and presentation of the Child of Courage Awards.
The evening will start with a sparkling reception at 6.30pm and guests will enjoy a three course meal with wine and entertainment from Swing Unlimited Big Band.
Pop 4 Diabetes is a non-profit organisation set up in 2006 by Iris Board after her son Shane, who will also be performing, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 11.
This year the organisation is celebrating their 11th annual ball in aid of diabetes charities and have raised £75,000 since 2006 for research projects working to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes, and one of the biggest beneficiaries this year will be Diabetes UK.
