Volunteers from across the region joined staff at this year's networking days in Bristol and Exeter.
Everyone agreed the days offered an invaluable opportunity to meet other volunteers, share stories and find out new ideas.
Volunteering and outreach manager Verity McLelland and volunteer support officer Gemma Jackson gave special thanks to Sandra Tweddell and Jane Ibbunson who spoke about their experiences, challenges and highlights of volunteering for the Bristol Network of groups.
And special thanks also went to Lyn Hill and Rose Lester who spoke at our Exeter day about their experiences of volunteering with our North Devon local support group. We talked about offering a warm welcome, attracting exciting speakers and how adding that personal touch makes all members of the group feel valued.
Verity gave a regional update about develops over the past year, regional media officer Susannah Hickling ran a session on developing our media savvy skills, and regional fundraiser Ruth Tandy had brilliant ideas about how volunteers can raise funds for their group.
