We're supporting applications for National Clinical Impact Awards 2023

03 March 2023

The National Clinical Impact Awards (formerly known as ACCEA) award round for 2023 is now open - designed to recognise and reward those who perform over and above the standard expected in their role.

Diabetes UK is pleased to support applications from Consultant members who have contributed significantly to the work of the charity.

Under the new rules, Diabetes UK is no longer able to give a supportive citation or a ranked score. If you are going to mention your work with Diabetes UK within your application, we would be happy to review your application to ensure that you have included what we would consider to be important. ACCIA recommends that such activities should consider national impact rather than simple descriptions of activity.

Applicants are asked to submit their application online and send a copy to healthcare@diabetes.org.uk along with the Diabetes UK Involvement Form (below). We'd appreciate if you could also please note your GMC number and the level of award you are applying to in this email. Applications will then be reviewed and scored by a panel of judges.

Just to note that Diabetes UK can only put forward three individuals and applicants can only request an endorsement from one institution rather than several.
