Diabetes Specialist Nurses and Dietitians: Tomorrow's Leaders

Would you like to be a leader of quality diabetes care? Are you working at a senior level as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse or Dietitian and feel that you could influence others to deliver better care?

At Diabetes UK we know that nationally some of the best diabetes care is delivered and led by great DSNs and dietitians who are strong local leaders.

Spotlight on Tomorrow's Leaders

One of our programme alumni, Paula Johnston, shares her top three lessons from piloting the inpatient insulin administrative initiative at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS).

We are looking for DSNs and dietitians who are willing to embrace the responsibility for delivering improvement in diabetes care. Alongside Leicester Diabetes Centre and TREND-UK, we have developed a free leadership course. The course will give you the opportunity to learn:

  • who and how to influence
  • how to be an effective leader
  • to identify the barriers to quality care and how to overcome them
  • to work with a coach to develop your own action plan.

100 per cent of attendees would recommend this event to other DSNs and dieticians looking to increase their knowledge and skills as a leader.

"Inspirational. The positive energy was palpable. People who were quite low came back with not just ideas but action plans on the road to success!"
