Our Management of Diabetes module has been designed to provide an enhanced, in-depth understanding of diabetes. It is suitable for healthcare professionals involved in delivery or support of people with diabetes.


This course is run twice a year.


Seven taught days with three clinical practice visits.


We have NHS funded places available on this module. The cost for the module for practitioners working outside of the LETB funded area is £950.

Type of study

Including the 7 taught days with three clinical practice visits, this module is supported with blended learning through the student virtual learning environment.

Entry criteria

Level 5 – diploma level- applicants need to be registered or employed within an NHS environment. Level 6 – have evidence of level 5 study to diploma level.

Places available

30 per module – twice annually so 60 places per annum.

Achievement assessed

Written assignment & reflection upon three clinical practice visits.

Teaching methods

Innovative teaching methods delivered by the module team many of whom are working health care professionals delivering diabetes care in a variety of locations.
