Primary care leadership programme

Spreading improvement beyond the consultation room and across practices

Developed and delivered in partnership with the Leicester Diabetes Centre and the Primary Care Diabetes Society (PCDS), this programme is for any professional working in primary care with the enthusiasm, passion and tangible ideas for improving diabetes care in their local area and develop leadership skills.

It will enable participants to develop the skills needed to drive transformational change in diabetes care, and spread improvement beyond the consultation room and across practices. The programme will also be an opportunity for participants to identify both barriers and solutions to improving care, and network with colleagues from across the country. 

Learning outcomes

  • Develop key skills aroung influencing others and effectively leading improvements
  • Identify the barriers to implementing change and how to overcome them
  • Develop and improvement plan with guidance from a coach.

Programme duration

The programme comprises of two modules. The first module is a residential  that takes place over two days with a follow up day two months later. We will provide accommodation for the programme.
