Validation of the living with chronic illness scale in an English-speaking population with long-term conditions

Researchers at the University of Southampton would like to recruit people with type 2 diabetes to take part in a study that will help them to test out a questionnaire they've designed, called the Living with Long Term Condition Scale.

To develop interventions that improve the quality of life for people with long term health conditions, researchers need appropriate and reliable tools, which help them to understand the experiences and needs of people living with these conditions.

The Living with Long Term Condition Scale was created after previous research, and successfully used with people with Parkinson’s Disease from Spain and South America, in the Spanish language. The researchers now want to expand the potential benefit of it and use with other long-term conditions, including type 2 diabetes, and in the English language.
