Testing a new medicine for foot ulcers

March 2019
November 2021
Royal London Hospital

Researchers at Royal London Hospital are looking for people with diabetes who’ve had a foot ulcer for at least 12 weeks to take part in a clinical trial testing a new treatment.

Volunteers will either be given a new type of novel medicine, which uses healing factors taken from their own blood, or receive the best current foot ulcer care. The researchers will use 3D wound photography to find out if the novel medicine is more effective at treating hard-to-heal foot ulcers.
