Council of People Living with Diabetes

Made up of 30 people from across the UK with a wide range of experience of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, the Council of People living with Diabetes (CPD) acts as a sounding board for Diabetes UK’s Trustees and senior staff.

The CPD is a crucial part of our governance structure, ensuring the charity has insight and guidance from people directly affected by diabetes when planning and developing services.

Recent topics discussed include Diabetes UK’s Putting Feet First campaign and upcoming children’s campaign, as well as the charity’s forward plan for 2013.

The Council usually meets four times a year and travel expenses are reimbursed.

The next round of recruitment for new members will be in summer 2014. Application forms will be available on request from January 2014.
