Online communities

Get involved, support each other

Diabetes UK has been an innovator in branching out into all the main social media websites, in an effort to reach people who need us by setting up pages on the sites you use every day.

Information, support and engagement

Almost two-thirds of people using the internet communicate through online communities such as Facebook, Myspace and YouTube and, lately, newer services such as Twitter.

We want our supporters to be able to talk to us and each other online in an environment and that is informative, supportive and engaging.

What's on offer

Our online communities let you chat and discuss issues with other supporters, watch and comment on our videos, upload your photos, and discover our virtual HQ with its information and activities. We also support a dedicated diabetes forum site.

For Diabetes UK members

Diabetes UK members also have their own online community where they can share stories, photos, read blogs, comment on our work, get the latest research news and much more.

A safe and friendly place to share experiences

More than ever, people from different regions can share experiences and ideas online and we have dedicated volunteers making sure our online communities are a safe and friendly place for all.
