Making a donation in memory of a loved one is a meaningful way to celebrate their life while supporting the work of Diabetes UK.
Whether it’s through a one‑off gift, a funeral collection, a fundraising event or by setting up a tribute fund, your donation honours their legacy and helps us move closer to a world where diabetes can do no harm. Every contribution makes a difference and becomes part of a lasting tribute.
You can choose to create a tribute fund with either JustGiving or MuchLoved, depending on what feels right for you and your family. Both platforms allow friends and family to come together, share memories and make donations in one place.
Experiencing loss affects us all differently. If you feel you need support, see information on bereavement support services you can contact.
JustGiving Tribute Pages
A JustGiving Donate in Memory tribute page is a simple way to collect donations in memory of someone special, while also sharing messages and photos with family and friends.
It’s quick to set up and easy to manage – especially if you already have an existing Just Giving profile - making it a good option if you’d like to organise donations around a specific moment, such as a funeral or a fundraising activity.
Tribute pages can still be revisited over time, offering a way to reflect and remember, while supporting our work.

MuchLoved Tribute Funds
A MuchLoved Tribute Fund is a dedicated online memorial where you can remember and celebrate your loved one in a more personal and lasting way.
You, your family and friends can share stories, photos, videos and music, light virtual candles, and come together to mark anniversaries and special moments over time.
Fundraising can also be part of your tribute, supporting Diabetes UK’s work, while creating a space that can be returned to whenever you wish.

Make a dedication
Whether you’re remembering a loved one, celebrating someone living with diabetes, or simply saying thank you, you can share their name, add a photo, and leave a dedication in their honour.
Every message shared here helps us support people living with diabetes and fund life-changing research.
Funeral notices
Our partner Much Loved also allows you to create a free online funeral notice, helping you share important information with family and friends in one central place. You can include service details, special wishes, and donation information, as well as provide a space for messages and tributes.
Funeral collections
If you would prefer to collect in memory donations in person, we can send you envelopes or a small collection box to collect cash or cheque donations at a funeral or memorial service, or in place of flowers.

A special tribute
The Baldwin family raised funds in memory of their son, Peter, who tragically passed away from undiagnosed type 1 diabetes, raising over £65,000 while campaigning to raise awareness of type 1 diabetes and its diagnosis in young children.
How your donation helps
Diabetes affects more people than any other serious health condition in the UK. More than dementia and cancer combined.
We fight diabetes by funding research, improving care, providing support and making sure everyone knows how to live well with their condition.
