Volunteering - North of England

Help make a difference to the lives of 4.8 million people with diabetes in the UK.

Our volunteers are at the heart of all we do. Without your support, we could not carry out vital work in research, education and care which is vital to our vision of a world where diabetes can do no harm.

Our volunteers bring skills, experience, enthusiasm and commitment. Volunteering can make a difference in your life too, helping to meet new people, learn new skills and have fun.

What can we offer you?

In the North of England, we host regular online volunteer events and training sessions, so we can stay connected through the current pandemic. Plus, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities for you to get engaged with whilst socially distancing.

Please view our current volunteering opportunities or for more information on how we support volunteers, please go to our resources for volunteers page.

If you would like to hear more about ways to get involved within your community and wider, please get in touch by emailing north@diabetes.org.uk or calling 01925 653281.

Volunteering and coronavirus

If you would like to volunteer whilst social distancing is in place, we still have volunteer opportunities for you to get involved with. Please get in touch with our Northern team and we would be happy to talk more.

We are currently hosting our volunteer networking days online, due to COVID-19 restrictions. We hope to return to face-face events in 2022, offering our volunteers a space to meet and hear from us.

For our latest position on coronavirus and face-face volunteering, please visit our volunteering and coronavirus page.
