Now is the time. End the harm
Our vision is to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. And with more and more people affected by diabetes, we have no choice but to fight harder than ever before.
What once seemed impossible is now within reach.
Our recent advances have transformed lives. They’ve given us hope of a better future. And the way to get there is clearer than ever before.
Our strategy commits us to three ambitious outcomes for people with and at risk of diabetes:
Prevention and cure
We want to stop diabetes before it starts and accelerate progress towards cures. That means driving research into next generation treatments for type 1, scaling prevention programmes for type 2, and pushing for policy changes that tackle the root causes of poor health.
Everyone included
Diabetes doesn’t affect everyone equally. People living in poverty and those from certain ethnic backgrounds face higher risks and worse outcomes. Our strategy commits to tackling these inequities head-on and dismantling the stigma that stops people seeking help.
Living well with diabetes
For those living with diabetes, day-to-day life can be exhausting. We’ll work to make high-quality care and support the norm, empower people to advocate for themselves, and provide resources that are accessible, culturally relevant and personalised. Because living well should be possible for everyone.
We know we can reach our vision, but we can only get there by working together, with you. But not just you.
We need your friends, family and colleagues. We need your time, your energy and your fundraising. None of this will be possible without you.
