In a bid to help raise awareness of diabetes, over 70 film makers will shoot seven movies, including a musical and a cartoon, in just seven days.
The film makers - all from counties across the Midlands - chose the theme of ‘balance’ as a basis for their movie.
Each film reflects this idea and covers a variety of genres, including romantic comedy, horror, a children’s cartoon and a 15-minute musical.
The movies will go on sale over the Internet and are expected to raise at least £200,000 for Diabetes UK.
Douglas Smallwood, Chief Executive of Diabetes UK, said:
“We are delighted with this initiative. Not only will this project help raise funds for the vital work of Diabetes UK, but it will also raise awareness of the condition and how people live with it day to day.”
The movies will be premiered at the IMAX Cinema in Birmingham on 7 July and then available to download for a cost of £1 fromwww.balancemovies.com. All the proceeds will go to Diabetes UK.
