Diabetes UK is calling on all eager cyclists to put on their helmets and sign up for its very first London-to-Paris Cycle Challenge.
The exciting event, taking place from 11 to 13 September, will raise much-needed funds to help people with diabetes and our vital research projects.
The cycle journey
The sporty participants will cycle approximately 195 miles over three days from England’s buzzing capital to the heart of Paris.
Day one of the challenge will begin at Hampton Court, taking the cyclists through beautiful rural English countryside and reaching Newhaven harbour by early evening.
After an evening meal the group will take the overnight ferry to Dieppe in France where they will stay in a hotel.
The next day will begin with a hearty breakfast followed by 75 miles of cycling through the Seine Valley heading towards Rouen and arriving at a hotel near Givernay by early evening.
The final day will begin at 8.30am and cyclists will continue their journey through the Seine Valley and beautiful French countryside. After the final 55 miles they will arrive in Paris by 5pm where a glass of champagne will await them. Cyclists will then have the option of joining a celebratory meal followed by an evening in the amazing French capital.
The Challenge will be the experience of a lifetime and we would love you to join our exclusive Diabetes UK team on this fantastic trip.
