Volunteers are vital to the work of Diabetes UK and this year for the first time a series of regional conferences will recognise our volunteers’ efforts and celebrate their achievements.
Volunteers help Diabetes UK in all sorts of ways, whether that’s assisting with the work in our offices, supporting local people through Voluntary Groups, or going out raising awareness and doing fundraising activities to raise money.
Conferences in local regions
2010 sees the introduction of a series of National and Regional Volunteering Conferences across the UK. These one-day conferences are free to everyone who volunteers with Diabetes UK.
The conferences offer the opportunity to hear inspirational speakers, meet others and find out more about Diabetes UK’s work. These events will also provide an opportunity for us to say thank you to all our volunteers and recognise the contribution they make to supporting people living with diabetes.
Interested in attending?
The conferences will be taking place in each regional and national area within Diabetes UK between September and November this year. Representatives from the Board of Trustees and the Executive team will also be in attendance. Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the day.
For more information about these events and to book your place, please contact the relevant office.
