Our partnership with Lilly UK

Working together to help primary healthcare professionals better support the emotional wellbeing of people living with diabetes

The Diabetes UK Emotional Wellbeing module

In June 2021, Lilly UK generously supported Diabetes UK as we launched a new emotional wellbeing module to help primary healthcare professionals better support the emotional and psychological needs of people living with diabetes.

The free, online RCN-accredited continuing professional development (CPD) training module, which has been tested and approved by people living with diabetes, aims to help healthcare professionals navigate the emotional challenges people with diabetes face in a post-Covid world.

Our Future of Diabetes report found that 64% of people with diabetes often feel down because of the relentlessness of managing their condition. With the challenges of coronavirus adding to the burden of managing diabetes day in, day out, having the right emotional wellbeing support is even more important than ever. Our Emotional Wellbeing module equips healthcare professionals with the tools and resources to better support the wellbeing of their patients, address concerns, and signpost to vital services.
