What's new this year?
This year we've developed a brand new welcome pack for you and we've also changed the finish venue to Potters Fields Park (165 Tower Bridge Rd, London SE1 3LW), next to Tower Bridge. We're really excited about this years event.
Is there a minimum sponsorship?
There is no minimum sponsorship requirement so set a target that feels achievable to you, we suggest a target of £120, that’s just £10 per bridge.
How do I send in sponsorship?
The easiest way to collect sponsorship is to set up a JustGiving page, this way your family and friends can make quick, safe online donations to support your challenge. The money you raise on your JustGiving page will then transfer straight to Diabetes UK, so you don’t have to do anything else. If you prefer to collect cash in the traditional way you can use the sponsorship form you receive in your welcome pack and pay it in via one of the following methods:
Cheque
Please make your cheque payable to "Diabetes UK" and send, along with your sponsor forms or a covering letter (make sure you include your name and address) to us at the following address; London Bridges Challenge, Diabetes UK, 126 Back Church Lane, London E1 1FH.
Credit/Debit Card
You can call our Supporter Care team on 0345 123 2399 Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Let them know you're making a donation towards your London Bridges Challenge sponsorship and they'll be happy to take your details and process your card donation.
Where does my money go?
The money you raise will help us fight for a world where diabetes can do no harm. With your help, we can take action now – to fund critical research, improve healthcare and treatment, support everyone with diabetes and prevent yet more people developing this potentially life-threatening condition.
I chose the wrong start time, how do I change this?
No problem. Please email londonbridges@diabetes.org.uk with your request. Please note, it might not always be possible to change your start time as we have a maximum number of people in each start wave set by our venue, so if you want to change your start time, get in touch as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
When will I get my fundraising pack?
We will be sending out welcome packs at the beginning of June, after that we’ll send the welcome packs out a week after you sign up. The pack will include an interactive poster, sponsorship form and tips for fundraising. You will collect your t-shirt, crazy hair (if you'd like some), and your event map at the start venue (Battersea Park) before the walk.
Can I change my t-shirt size?
Yes you can, please email londonbridges@diabetes.org.uk and we can change your t-shirt size.
Do you need volunteers?
We are looking for volunteers to act as stewards on the course and to help at the start and finish venues. If you would like to find out more, please email us at londonbridges@diabetes.org.uk or call Gabriella Talor on 0345 123 2399.
