Swim22 - Extension update
It feels like a lifetime ago that we all dived into Swim22, doesn’t it? Back then – and I’m sure the same goes for you – we could never have imagined the impact that Covid-19 is having on all of our lives.
As you know, we've extended the challenge until 22 August in the hope that pools will re-open. Since the government has yet to confirm when pools will open again, we have decided to extend the challenge – and your access to your fundraising page – further, until 31st October. We do understand how important the Swim22 challenge is to many of you – as it is to us – so we really hope the extra time gives you the chance to complete your lengths.
If you have any questions please check our FAQs or email us at email@example.com
- Free to register
- No minimum sponsorship; although we would suggest a target of £220 - £10 for each mile
- If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to register on your behalf and create a page for you under their profile
The lengths will make a difference
Whichever distance you choose, each stroke you take will bring you closer to a healthier future - for you, and for everyone in the UK who’s living with diabetes.
In 2019, we raised an incredible £690,000 to help fund our life-saving research, and make sure everyone living with diabetes gets the care and support they need. Take the plunge this year to help us change even more lives.
We hope you will take up the challenge and take great lengths for people with diabetes.
“I want to raise public awareness of how serious diabetes is and just how devastating it can be."
– Linda, Swim22 participant 2019
