Swim22 - Coronavirus update
We know that some of you will be worried about being able to complete your Swim22 challenge, whether due to pool closures, social distancing or self-isolation.
We don’t want to add Swim22 to any worries you might be having, so we've decided to extend the challenge until 22 August. This means you’ll have until 22 August to log your lengths on your fundraising page, and to send your sponsorship in to us.
You can of course, if you wish, complete your challenge sooner, but please put your health and well-being first.
We are so grateful to you all for your ongoing support, and we are so proud to have you on the team. We will be with you every length of this Swim22 journey, and we promise to keep you updated.
- Free to register
- No minimum sponsorship; although we would suggest a target of £220 - £10 for each mile
- If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to register on your behalf and create a page for you under their profile
The lengths will make a difference
Whichever distance you choose, each stroke you take will bring you closer to a healthier future - for you, and for everyone in the UK who’s living with diabetes.
In 2019, we raised an incredible £690,000 to help fund our life-saving research, and make sure everyone living with diabetes gets the care and support they need. Take the plunge this year to help us change even more lives.
We hope you will take up the challenge and take great lengths for people with diabetes.
“I want to raise public awareness of how serious diabetes is and just how devastating it can be."
– Linda, Swim22 participant 2019
