Charlotte

"I suffer from both diabetic peripheral and autonomic neuropathy. It's not easy, as your ability to live independently no longer exists and you encounter a barrage of challenges from the simplest of tasks.

"Volunteering here is my way of saying thank you to Diabetes UK, because they were always there and continue to be for everyone living with diabetes, whether they are struggling or not.

"Thanks to the support of others, I managed to complete a degree in Business Studies and Economics from Edinburgh University. Through the experience of volunteering I am slowly managing to regain some of my independence and can now contemplate successfully living a life with neuropathy."
